The filtered cap has a 0.22µm hydrophobic membrane which prevents contamination while allowing optimal gas exchange

The vented cap produces an audible click and has a raised rectangular marker that indicates when the cap is in the optimal position for gas exchange. Contaminated or dead cultures are prevented because the cap is never in an over or undertightened position.
